While this beautiful couple, Anand and Anita, were looking forward to a sunshine filled wedding day at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, NC, the slightly rainy morning couldn’t put a damper on their fun!
The pictures are absolutely stunning, and document the story of the day in glorious detail from the beautiful bride getting ready to the baraat (when the groom arrives). For the first part of the ceremony, Anand looked debonair in his traditional ivory and gold brocade jacket. Anita was breathtaking in an embellished sari of deep red and saffron, while the intricate henna work on her arms created stunning patterns and swirls that set an elegant background for the adornments of elaborate traditional jewelry.
There were so many family members and friends celebrating with Anand and Anita, going through the preparations and traditional rituals that make a Hindu ceremony feel so joyful. The bride and her bevy of beautiful bridesmaids looked like a jewel box had been thrown open, the rich and opulent colors creating a radiant rainbow. Anand’s groomsmen radiated pride in their deep red jackets that were beautifully embroidered in gold.
The talented photographer at Vesic Photography captured some of the most striking and exciting pictures of the celebrations as well as the sweet and intimate moments for this stunning couple. The prayer to Lord Ganesh to remove obstacles in the way of their marriage is such an intensely wonderful moment that says so much about how much their families want Anita and Anand to be happy and prosperous.
Both Anand and Anita kept wide, bright smiles throughout this traditional Vivaah, being celebrated by their family and friends on this beautiful beginning of their lives together.
