The day may have started out overcast, but the soft grey sky lent an elegant quality to the wedding of JD and Katherine in March 2016. However, by the time the ceremony started the sun was shining brightly. It was such a pleasure to help this fabulous couple coordinate their wedding ceremony and reception at Autumn Creek Vineyards, a gorgeous and rustic chic venue that made for a perfect backdrop to the sweet events of the day.
The details of the wedding came together like a dream come true – the mismatched bridesmaids in soft shades of peach, lavender, cream and blush blended together as if perfectly coordinated. It certainly didn’t hurt that they were all beautiful, though none held a candle to Katherine on her special day! She shone with love in a soft, angelic tulle-skirted dress that made her appear to float on air – or was that her dreamy smile as she got a first glimpse of her husband-to-be? With elegant greenery by Knots ‘N Such florists in her hair, flawless makeup and an anticipatory smile, she joined JD in reading letters to each other before the ceremony. Erica Serrano captured the photos of the day with a deft and unobtrusive skill.
Under a simple arbor, JD and Katherine joined hands in marriage to the delight of their family and friends. Their smiles lit up the day as they exchanged vows and the importance of the moment really sank in. You could just see the love they share is special and rare.
After Katherine and JD shared a celebratory kiss, the party moved inside to enjoy the fantastic dinner by Savory St. Catering and an amazing variety of cakes by Ilona’s bakery! Showtime Productions kept the atmosphere energetic until the perfectly time sparkler send-off! I sincerely wish for every happiness for you, JD and Katherine, you deserve it!
